Big News: TWINT users made 773 million transactions with TWINT in 2024 – that’s more than ever before! 📲💯
Well over half of the Swiss population is using TWINT – at in-store cash registers and in online shops, but also as a simple means of sending and receiving money between friends and family members.
However, TWINT is used for a lot more than merely paying for purchases or splitting bills among friends.
A few figures show the various ways in which TWINT is integrated into everyday life in Switzerland: 💡
• TWINT is used by young and old users alike: the app is available from the age of 12 and the oldest users are over 100 years old.
• TWINT users are on the move: some 77 million transactions were made in the mobility and public transport sectors in 2024.
• TWINT users save money: About CHF 11 million were saved by TWINT users as they have been able to end their parking sessions early in the TWINT app.
• TWINT brings us together: over 40,000 clubs, associations and charitable organisations use TWINT to collect donations and membership fees as well as to organise events.
• TWINT users collect points: users have stored more than 1 million loyalty cards, such as the Coop Supercard, Migros Cumulus, Manor Card and many others, in the TWINT app.
Offering a wide range of features that go far beyond payments, TWINT provides innovation exactly where everyday life in Switzerland takes place– whether on a small or large scale, from young to old. (copy from a TWINT linkedIn Post 6. February 2025)
